Easter event at Terhune Orchards farm
We went to the Easter event at Terhune Orchards farm. It's about an hour from Manhattan and very close to Princeton. You could make a reservation for a specific time on their website on the day of the event. We had lunch at a favorite French café in Princeton named Chez Alice and then headed to the farm.

Arrival
When we arrived, we showed the QR code from the reservation confirmation email at the reception, and based on the purchased option, we received wristbands in different colors. It was very easy to enter.
Bunny Hunt
Bunny Chase at Terhune Orchards farm
Once inside, there were bunny footprints right away. We followed the footprints around the farm, and eventually found a big rabbit. Along the way, there were various attractions, but after a while, it became difficult to continue following the footprints. The idea was interesting, but it didn’t quite work out for us to fully enjoy it until the end.
Play Area
Terhune Orchards Farm Kids activity
Tricycle area
Bubble zone, duck races, pony ride, petting zoo
There was a tricycle area, an area with little houses, trucks, and slides, as well as an area with activities like duck races, ring toss, and bubble blowing (duck races cost $1 per duck). There was also a petting zoo area where you could hold rabbits and chickens, feed sheep and goats ($5 per person), pony rides ($10), and bunny crafts (extra fee). It was a great space for kids from toddlers to elementary school age, and my 1-year-old and 4-year-old had a blast and kept playing without getting bored.
Food and Music
Food menu: mac & cheese, hotdogs, chili
Food Pavilion
Picnic area with live music
At the food pavilion, you could buy snacks like hot dogs, mac & cheese, bakery items from the farm, apple cider donuts, and drinks. Next to the food pavilion were picnic benches where you could enjoy the food. There was live music in the picnic area, so it seemed like a nice place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The farm also sells wine, and you can enjoy a glass. This time, instead of wine, we bought the farm's apple cider. It’s nice that they offer cider year-round!
Restrooms
Bathroom at the Farm
There were no usable indoor restrooms, but there were two portable toilets set up.
Admission Fee
$12 (for ages 3 and up). If you buy tickets by the day before, it’s $2 cheaper, so if you’re planning to go, booking in advance is a better deal. On the day of the event, tickets may sell out, but considering the extra fees, I thought it might be better to just go and buy them directly.
Summary
Since this was an Easter event, I was expecting an egg hunt (which was clearly stated as not happening, so that was my mistake in research). It was a little disappointing that there was no egg hunt, but there were plenty of play areas for kids, opportunities to interact with animals, and unique activities like truck slides and rides. It was a fun day enjoying the farm in early spring. Since the farm is mainly focused on apples, I’d love to visit again during apple season. I definitely want to try the seasonal apple cider they make there!
